Overview
Red Mountain is a mountain site in Romania with a recorded launch elevation of 1,625 m. It works best in southerly winds, and can also work in south-easterly and south-westerly winds. Pilots fly it for thermal, using foot launch. It is recorded as suitable for cross-country flights.
- You have to hike for about 1 hour to the take off. That's why we don't fly much here. We use it mainly in the winter because is the only thermal active spot. Great scenery! Source: ParaglidingEarth
