NW to NE facing ridge site · 918 m takeoff · 599 m height gain

Overview

Orduña is a mountain site in Spain with a recorded launch elevation of 918 m. It works best in northerly, north-easterly and north-westerly winds, and can also work in easterly winds. Pilots fly it for ridge soaring and thermal, using foot launch.

North-to-northeast facing cliff launch (~920 m) on the Sierra Salvada (Gorobel) ridge above the Orduña valley, landing at Tertanga (~320 m). Ridge and thermal flying with a long run of ridges to the west for XC.
