Disgwylfa Fawr is a hill site in Mid Wales / Borders with a recorded launch elevation of 423 m. It works best in north-westerly winds, and can also work in northerly and westerly winds. Pilots fly it for ridge soaring and thermal, using foot launch.
Disgwylfa Fawr (summit 506 m) is a west to north-west facing hill in the Cambrian Mountains east of Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, listed as an open site by the Mid Wales & Borders Soaring Club (wind 250-340, best WNW).
